Missing you my fun friend for 50+ years. Remembering all those exciting (& loud) pinocle games and our many wild times. It was a amazing that we did make it to being Senior Citizens though neither of us really did grow up. Wonderful to have been family together (and still family forever).

Jay was one of my best friends at Notre Dame and a great influence on me to this day. I moved to California based in part on what I saw through Jay's eyes. I can still remember visiting him in Cucamonga CA (yes there really was a place with that strange name to my Pittsburgh ears!). We drove up on Mt Baldy one evening and the picture of the moon shining off the snow covered mountain has been with me ever since.
Thank you my friend Jay for being such an inspiration to me. May your journey through eternity be filled with joy!

My thoughts and prayers to the entire family. Having known Jay for 15 years, I can attest to the fact that he was a great man. I considered him a father figure and it was great that I got to see him earlier this year. RIP Jay

Thoughts and prayers to the entire family during this difficult time. Although Jay was two years ahead of me at Upland High, he was always so friendly and teased me unmercifully about my New York accent. Thanks to Tom, I had a chance to talk to him a few times in the past few years and Judy Jackson and I went to his 70th Birthday Party in 2011. He was truly a great guy . Will miss your smile and great sense of humor along with a long laundry list of other great qualities. You might not be here in person but know you are there still watching over your family and friends . Rest in peace, Jay........

Although Jay graduated 2 years ahead of me at Upland High, he always found the time for us younger ones to tease and encourage. That smile would light up a tunnel. As Tom was my classmate and now a dear friend, was fortunate to have contact with Jay and meet his family after not seeing him in 50 years. My heart goes out to Cathy, Tom, Cari, Shelly,Rick ,Stacy, and Matthew and all the other family members and friends that are missing Jay.
Jay Strack... You are a gem.. Lots of people will miss your smile and great sense of humor along with a long laundry list of other great qualities. Rest in peace, kiddo....... Until we meet again...

I went to UHS with Jay and am a close friend of his brother, Tom. Jay was such a good friend to so many. That was made evident by the many friends and family members who gathered to celebrate Jay's 70th birthday a couple years ago. I was fortunate enough to be included and could feel the love everyone felt for Jay. Lots of wonderful memories he has left for loved ones to cherish. He will be dearly missed.
