I meet John when I was 19 years old in 1988, expect for the hair people said we looked like brothers, so we told everyone we were brothers and no one every questioned our bond we had. Even as we drifted apart as we got older we never stopped being brothers. I found out of John's death in 2012 and I was crushed, still hurts to this day...

Johnny you forever will be missed! I just found out about this tragedy today by Snap-On Terry and it really shocked me. We had many good times @ the track and hanging out at the shop. I'm moving away to Florida, but the next drag bike I build will be in your memory. You will always be in the pits with me. To the Beckmans, I'm really sorry about your loss, the world will be a lesser place without him. God Bless You Alyssa!

Love,

Isabel & Ted

Although I only met John a few times, I remember his smile and the warmth and engery that made those around him smile.I remember a very proud daddy introduce me to his daughter.I know how special he was to my husbands family and friends. I've heard many stories about John from many people, all have the same memory; John was fun, happy, giving, caring and loving. I know John will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the Beckman Family.
