Leanne Sanchez
1941 - 2021
December 19, 1941 - July 24, 2021 Leanne Marie Sanchez (n‚e Brosnahan), December 19th, 1941 July 24th, 2021, La Verne, CA. Leanne M. Sanchez passed away peacefully in the early morning of July 24th, 2021. Leanne was the oldest of five children, born in Deadwood, South Dakota to Mildred (Millie) and Timothy Brosnahan. She was known for her intelligence, her kindness, her loyalty, her incredible memory, and her love of family. Leanne loved traveling to new places, and she loved taking road trips with her beloved husband, Herman and her cherished son, Herman Jr. We now imagine that Leanne has joined her husband in heaven and is on the best road trip ever. Leanne was a proud marine and she loved the time of her life when she served her country. She was very devoted to the Marine Corps and often spoke of her wonderful memories. She instilled the discipline of the marine corps into all aspects of her life. Leanne also spent many years working in cosmetology and had a sincere passion for it. She loved helping others feel beautiful and she had a true gift. Leanne's greatest love, however, was her family. She took her role as the eldest sibling very seriously and she was always so proud of her younger sisters and brothers. She was a devoted daughter to Millie and took great care of her, especially as Millie aged. Leanne was married to the love of her life, Herman, for 53 years. They had a deep and true love, and they were extremely loyal to each other. Together, they raised Herman Jr. in La Verne, CA. Herman Jr. was the apple of her eye, her greatest achievement, and her greatest joy. She loved being a mother and put everything into raising Herman Jr. into a wonderful person. When she eventually became a grandmother to Nora and Jack, she was so delighted and loved them so very much. Leanne leaves behind two brothers, Timothy (Gayle) and Daniel (Tina), and her sister Carol (John). She was predeceased by her younger sister, Jean. She also leaves behind her son, Herman A. Sanchez (Erin), and two grandchildren, Nora and Jack. She loved her in-laws so very much. She leaves behind siblings-in-law Polly (Nat), Rita (Ron), Rosylene, George, and Johnny. She is also survived by countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Leanne will be terribly missed but will forever remain in the hearts of so many. She lived an honorable life, filled with lots of love, laughter, and joy. Rest in peace, sweet Leanne. Leanne's service will be on August 28th, at the Holy Name of Mary Church in San Dimas.
