Naomi B. Archibald

, 90, of Claremont died May 15, 2008 at Claremont Manor. Born February 27, 1918 in Bakersfield, CA. She was a Rancho Cucamonga and Claremont resident for 56 years. Retired, she was a teacher with the Central School District for 33 years. Mrs. Archibald received her Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA and her Master's degree in Education from USC. She was a past member of Upland United Methodist Church and a current member of Claremont United Methodist; also a lifetime member of the Kern County Historical Soci ety. Mrs. Archibald is survived by her daughters, Nancy Yueh of Littleton, CO, Mary Ann Mamea of Rancho Cucamonga; son, John Archibald of Bedford, TX; sister, Margaret Crabbe of Blue Diamond, NV; grandchildren, Suzanne Wong, John Yueh, Leonia Tuihalamaka, Mateo Mamea and William Mamea; great-grandchildren, Leilani Mamea and Kai Mamea. Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 19, 3 p.m. at Claremont United Methodist Church, 211, W. Foothill Blvd., Claremont. Memorial contributions may be made to VITA S Hospice Care, 598 S.
