October 23, 1924 - March 18, 2021 Ralph Perez Chavez, 96 years, went to be in the presence of our Lord on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born October 23,1924 in Ontario, CA; and was the son of Jose Simon Chavez and Grace Chavez Campos. His step father Antonio Campos finished raising him after his father passed away. He was married to Nellie Chavez for 59 years; until her passing in 2008. He was a United States Army Veteran and served in Alaska during World War II. He retired as an electrician's assistant from Kaiser Steel in Fontana, CA after 35 years of employment. Ralph loved to attend church, was a patron of casinos, loved visiting his relatives; and loved traveling with his cousins David and Josie Gonzalez. He also loved playing pool with his friends from the Ontario Senior Citizens Center. He especially enjoyed Dodger baseball games and NFL games. Ralph was predeceased by his siblings: Sally Whitt, Samuel Campos, and Rudy "Chapo" Chavez. He is survived by his three children, (son) Ralph Chavez Jr., (Josephine), (daughter) Norma Jean Chesak, (Murray), (son) Dennis Chavez and (Sandy). He has 9 grandchildren: Laurence, Nelly, Priscilla, Ralph III, Socorro, Lee, Darlene, Samuel and Angelica. He has 11 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Ralph was a devoted father, husband, brother, and grandfather, great grandfather, and great, great grandfather to us all. He will be missed immensely and will be in our hearts forever. We love you! A service of interment will be held on Monday, April 19th at 1 p.m. at Bellevue Memorial Park in Ontario, CA. Pastor Louie Chong will be officiating the burial ceremony.
