Shirley Ann Williams
Shirley Ann Williams
63, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2012 in her Rancho Cucamonga home after a two and a half year battle with breast cancer. She fought her illness with courage and dignity. She is survived by her son, Eric Gossard, and many friends that were like family. She worked in the credit union services industry, most recently CU Direct (CUDL), for more than 25 years and was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi. Shirley enjoyed traveling all around the world, taking amazing pictures to capture her wonderful adventures. She loved all animals, but especially her "girls", Sophie and Bella. Shirley will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2011, 2:00 pm at the Belleview Memorial Park Mausoleum In Ontario. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your local "no kill" humane society or non-profit rescue organization.

I looked for Shirley at our 40th Chaffey High School 2011 reunion and was so disappointed she wasn't there. The last time I saw her was at the "9/11" 2001 Chaffey reunion. Not many of us made it that year but it was the first time I saw her since high school graduation and all of us were pensive and grateful to be together. She was still the same - full of life and laughter. We had so much fun in Spanish class and I got in trouble because she was always talking to me and I was a goody goody and the teacher threatened to call my mother if I didn't stop talking to Shirley. We were in the Naiades club at Chaffey and had a blast. I'm so sorry she is not in our lives anymore. She was a truly beautiful person.

Shirley, I have so many great memories of you. Some memories are the fun 'bigger' things we did like trips to Oceanside and San Luis Obispo. But the really special memories are all the 'little' things from your contagious smile and laugh to your quick wit to your down to earth advice. You have touched so many people's lives and I will honor your memory forever.

I remember running into Shirley at an American Idol concert. We would see each other in the partking lot at work after that and say "did you watch Idol last night" and then tell each other who we thought did the best job. I will always remember her beautiful smile. Shirley you will be missed.

When my father died, you were there to dry our tears, make sure we had food, and add a smile or kind word. You were family to me. I grew up with you and all the sorority sisters filling our home with laughter and great memories. Thanks for sharing your life with us. I will miss you and your fantastic laugh. God bless you and watch over you.

To the Williams Family:

May you find comfort in God's word, the Bible. James 4:8 encourages; "Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you."

My condolences,
