Timothy Vaughn Obituary
Timothy Mark Vaughn "Timmy", 41 of Hacienda Heights, CA, passed away surrounded by family in Pomona, CA on Friday, June 10, 2016.
Timmy was born February 25, 1975 in Pomona, CA. He lived in Upland for the first 36 years and after the passing of his Mom, he moved to Hacienda Heights to live with his sister and her family. He had Down's Syndrome which made him an incredibly special person. His infectious smile and laugh made an impression on everyone he met. He graduated from Chaffey High School in 1997 and he worked at OPARC Adult Developmental Center for the past 13 years in their special day program. Timmy was also an active participant in the East San Gabriel Valley Special Olympics. Timmy was a sweet soul and he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces, going to the movies, celebrating Christmas, dancing up a storm and going to Disneyland. Timmy also enjoyed spending time with his OPARC family and he looked forward to the daily activities especially bowling. He was also happy when he spent time with his friends at the Special Olympics where he loved to win medals.
Timmy is survived by his siblings, John William Vaughn III (Tere Vaughn) of Pomona, Teresa Vaughn-Davies (Scott Davies) of Hacienda Heights, Margaret Giger (Dave Giger) of Woodland, James Vaughn (Priscilla Vaughn) of Highland, Paula Weiland of Rancho Cucamonga, Cathy Sanders (Eric Sanders) of Tustin, CA and Joe Vaughn (Jennifer Vaughn) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA. He is also survived by 23 nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Teresa Vaughn and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Services will be held at 9:00am, Saturday June 18 at Todd Memorial Chapel, 325 N. Indian Hill Blvd in Claremont, CA. Celebration of life reception will be immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Timmy's name to East San Gabriel Vally Special Olympics, Attention: Gigi Gaskin-Smith, 23960 Sunset Crossing Rd, Diamond Bar, CA 91765.

Timmy could light up a room simply with his presence. Timmy loved his family and he had a great bond with all of his siblings, but more importantly, with all of his nieces and nephews. What I will miss most about Timmy, is his interest in knowing what you had for breakfast, lunch, and dinner whenever you saw him. Timmy, I will miss your infectious smile, your laugh, and your burps. Most importantly, I will miss your hugs. May the Lord bless your soul and keep you by his side in Heaven. Take care of Mom and Dad. I love and miss you!
