I am deeply saddened to learn of Tommy's passing. My first memories of the Skropos family are in my early childhood when Edith Skropos babysat my brother, sister and myself. We often saw Gus and loved his stories of boxing. I would help Gus pick citrus on 24th street in Upland.
I met Tommy years later when working for a Security Company that had contracts at 76 Truck Stop and the Circle K above Jim's the family restaurant. Tommy came to work for Selective Enforcement, and we would patrol the 76 Truck Stop together. Both of us had the same career path ahead of us. We would often go to Jim's for dinner, and I had the opportunity to eat the "the best onion rings" and Tommy and his mother taught me the true method to quelling the burn of hot chili peppers. Fresh tomatoes. What memories. And Tommy always had a laugh. It was funny how he would use his knowledge of the Greek language to our advantage. I only know the off-color words. Many memories in those short years. We lost touch and to that I regret. I am glad he excelled in his profession and as a father and citizen. Rest in Peace my friend.

My deepest condolences to the family. I grew up around the corner from the Skropos family. I remember going over to their home while Katherine got her hair done by my cousin Evelyn. Tommy, Gus, and Georgy would be running a muck around the house until Katherine would have enough and go pull them by the ears. Very happy times. God bless you all

We are shocked at hearing this news - it is such a great loss to all who knew Tom. We have such great memories of Tommy and his wonderful family: from our Stateline trips to him stopping by on his motorcycle to say hi to our dad. Even though we all lost touch through the years, we all still had a long friendship. He was a good guy who will definitely be missed. Love and prayers to the family.

Our deepest condolences to the Skropus Family. I had the privilege to work with Tommy while I worked for Ontario Fire. He was sure to stop by for Easter, Thanksgiving or Christmas for a meal during the holidays at fire station 5 on 4th Street. He always had our back as we had his.
May God rest his soul and watch over his family.

My deepest sympathies for Tommy and the Skropos family. Tommy and George were part of my first group of friends that I had the honor to meet when I was with OPD. Such great memories. The one thing I will never forget about Tommy was his Smile! All three Skropos brothers were always friendly and kind to me! I salute you brother and you will always be a part of my life, that I was so fortunate to share. Until we meet again. God bless!

Worked closely with all three of the Skropos brothers while assigned to traffic in Fontana. Solid family and each had a legendary sense of humor. I´m saddened by this news. I al scheduled to work Tuesday, but will be praying for the Skropos family.
