Aida (Flores) Castaneda, of Holtville, California and Glencoe, Minnesota passed away peacefully at home in Glencoe on October 28, 2025.

Aida was born to Alfred and Virginia Flores in Calexico, California. Aida married Danny Castaneda and had three wonderful children, Daniel II, Edward, and Freddie Castaneda that she loved dearly. She also had three grandchildren who brought her great joy, Daniel Issaiah, Samantha, and Matthew Castaneda. She is survived by her siblings: Elvia, Dora, Alfred, Arturo, and Carlos Flores, and Virginia Le Doux.

After graduating from Holtville HIgh School, Aida briefly worked as an emergency medical technician before she became a stay at home mom. She also helped out raising her two nieces, Tatiana and Liana LeDoux, whom she loved as her own daughters, before moving to Glencoe, MN.

In Glencoe, Aida would volunteer at hospice and church owned thrift stores and help out in any way she could. She also loved attending her grandchildren's events, walking her dog, Liberace (Libo), going to concerts, hosting parties, and watching her favorite teams, the Dodgers and the Raiders.

Aida was loved by all who knew her. She was always ready to lend an ear, cook a meal, or otherwise help those in need. Aida had incredible strength and love for her family and always put others before herself. She will always and forever be remembered for her strength, helpfulness, and for having an incredibly big heart. She will be incredibly missed.

The family thanks all those who have stopped by, called or otherwise sent their condolences and support for the family. Family celebrations of her life will be held in both Minnesota and California.
