Alice Sigala, 62, of Calexico passed away peacefully on September 13, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Sigala in 2013, who she deeply missed.
Alice grew up in Calexico, CA and attended C.H.S. Those that she grew up with remember her as a kindhearted person. She began her career at Jack in The Box at an early age, subsequently meeting Saul Duron while working there. Alice devoted 35+ hard working years. During this time she made an inspiring impact on her team before retiring as a General Manager. Alice loved taking trips to the beach (Ensenada) and playing at casinos. She enjoyed gathering with family and friends but mostly loved caring for her grandchildren. She was known as a hard-working, generous and the once in a lifetime kind of friend to many. She had a great sense of humor with contagious laughter. She brought many smiles that touched the lives of many.
She is survived by her mother, Concha Sigala; 3 sisters, Gloria Diaz, Josie Luna, and Sophie Sigala; brother, Ruben Sigala; 3 children, Jose Alfonso Torres, Joanna (Alfredo) Figueroa and Daniela Duron; 6 grandchildren, Adrian Duron, Ivan & Elias Figueroa, Joey, Jodie and Angelina Torres; 1 & only great-grandson Ethan Ortega. In addition, she will be remembered by her loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Left us way too soon.
Services will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 6-9 p.m. in Calexico at Hems Brothers Mortuary. Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Calexico, CA.

I have nothing but good things to say about Alice. I worked with her for 10 years, I was her Assistant Manager @Jack #59. She was a firm but caring boss whom I learned a great deal from, she always put people first and definitely had a contagious laugh. I am proud to say that from coworkers we became friends. I will miss my dear friend, may God grant her family peace.

Sophie, My sincerest condolences to you, your mom and siblings. I first met Alice in 7th grade. Then in high school I would see around campus, she would always say hi to me when we would see each other. It was my loss that I didnt get to know her better. She is now with her Dad and hopefully Happy and at Peace. May she Rest in Peace.
