ANTHONY CORTEZ Obituary
Anthony D. Cortez, 43, of Brawley passed away suddenly (not related to covid-19) on January 27th 2021. Anthony was born on December 18, 1977 in Brawley, he was the son of the late Lupe Plascencia Cortez and Manuel Cortez. He was raised by his aunt Sonia and grandmother Dolores Plascencia and the third of four children and graduated from Brawley Union High School. He is survived by his two sons, Draven and Braden; sisters, Daisy Cortez, Lily (Dave) Garcia and Dina C. (Gabriel Salceda). numerous nieces and nephews; aunts, Patricia (Antonio) Rodriguez, Irma P. (Raymond) Magana and Dolores P. (Sammy) Couchman. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dolores; aunt, Sonia and uncle, Jimmy Plascencia. He will be deeply missed by many. Service will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 at Frye Chapel in Brawley at 11 a.m. followed by burial at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley.
