ATANASIA "ATTIE"

Atanasia Sañudo, 83, of Calexico passed away of natural causes on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at El Centro Regional Medical Center.
She was born on June 13, 1927 in Indio, CA and attended high school in Calexico. She married Fernando Sañudo on November 5, 1960. Attie worked for Jamison's Furniture for many years and then worked for the Credit Bureau for eight years.
Attie was a devoted wife, mother, sister and aunt. She cared and loved her family deeply and was often found sewing blankets and aprons for all her family.
Attie was preceded in death by her father and mother, Jesus and Victoria Ureña; brothers, Robert Ureña, and John Ureña; sisters, Mary Aguilar and Evangelina Perez.
Attie is survived by her husband, Fernando Sañudo; sons, Nando Sañudo, Vincent Valentino; daughter, Teresa (Dave) Noel; grandchildren, Stephanie Faith Noel, Elizabeth Ann Noel, and Victoria Hope Noel; sisters, Paula Ivie, Angie (Gilbert) Guiterrez, Victoria (Leonardo) Escalante, Socorro (Juan) Martinez, Helen (Mike) Zaspal; brother, Jesus (Jane) Ureña and numerous godchildren, nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 29 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hems Brothers Mortuary in Calexico. Mass will be held on Friday, July 30 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Calexico with Father Gerardo Fernandez officiating.
The family suggests memorials be sent to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 40 E. Main St, in Heber CA.

Teresa i'm so sorry to hear about your mother, she and my beloved mother were best of friends and i know both of them are looking down at us from heaven. i will keep you in my prayers and i know its not easy but we have to be strong, because we had the best teachers teaching us how to cope with life itself. take care and god bless you.
