Blanca Marisela Escobar, aged 48, of San Diego, CA, passed away on October 15, 2025. Born on March 8, 1977, Blanca was known for her intelligence, caring nature, humor, and friendliness, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Blanca completed her education at Calexico High School in 1995 and furthered her studies at Occidental College, where she cultivated a wide range of interests and friendships. Throughout her life, Blanca maintained a strong connection to her hometown, Calexico, which remained dear to her heart.
She is survived by her partner, Eric M. Gonzales, father, Gustavo Escobar, Sr., and brother, Gustavo Escobar, Jr. Blanca was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Blanca Nereyda Lopez de Escobar.
Services to honor Blanca's life will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Calexico. Following the services, a Celebration of Life will take place at the Women's Improvement Club, 320 Heber Ave, Calexico, CA. Friends, family, and those whose lives were touched by Blanca are welcomed to attend and celebrate her remarkable life.

I pray that you are finally free from pain and embraced by all the beauty and peace the afterlife has to offer. Your love for life was contagious, and your light touched everyone blessed enough to know you.
