Brett passed away unexpectedly at Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN with family at her side. Brett was unique with a memorable, pleasant smile. She enjoyed working on cars. She loved traveling and meeting people. Brett wasn't shy about keeping busy and going places. Brett had been working at All City Elevator in St. Paul, MN where she had been a proud member of the IUEC Local 9 Union Little Canada, MN. She had recently completed her apprenticeship program and received her journeyman status as an Elevator Maintenance Mechanic; a trade very few women have accomplished.
She loved sports. She played with the MN Vixen, a professional women's football team based in the Twin Cities. She also enjoyed watching the MN Vikings and MN Twins among others. Her favorite musician was Prince.
Brett was preceded by her two grandmothers, Luvenia M. Harrington and Sofia L. Campos; and aunts and uncles. She is survived by her father, Vicente and her mother, Sherri; brothers, Erick and Jay; sisters, Mikki, Tera, Jena, Vanessa, and Jami. Brett has several aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss her. Brett had many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Brett shared her smile with everyone she met and her family and friends were her world. She passed away and the blank space by her passing will be felt by all who met her.
A private celebration of life will be held for Brett.
