Mr. Hinshaw was a good teacher. I see many of the things I did in life he laid the path for. I hope his family felt the love and comfort of God during this difficult time.

My condolences to the entire Hinshaw family. He was such a nice and caring man. Although he was not my Algebra teacher, he tutored me when I was failing in Mr. Briggs class. My parents made me go to Mr. Hinshaw´s class every morning before school to get help. I was able to pass with all his help. So sad to hear of his passing. He touched the lives of many. Rest in Peace sir.

Mr. Hinshaw was my algebra teacher freshman year at CUHS. I struggled with algebra initially and Mr. Hinshaw often spent time helping me after class. I got better at it and my grade improved. One day Mr. Hinshaw returned our graded homework and I had gotten an F. He asked me what happened because I had been doing so well. I told him my mother and her twin sister helped me with it, they said they were great at algebra. Mr. Hinshaw said, "tell them I said to never help you again". He let me redo it, I got a B-. We laughed about that in my family for years.
My condolences to Mr. Hinshaw´s family and all that knew and loved him.

Prayers to you and your family Dell! I remembered going to your house to get my quilts quilted by you and Carl would always sit in his favorite chair. He was a caring person and he would always asked about my family!

My condolences to his family. He was the best Math teacher I ever had at CUHS in the early 90´s. He was very calm, patient, and a genuinely nice person. I went from not understanding math to getting an A in his class. I will never forget him.

Carl was one of that generation of teachers before mine that I looked up to. I arrived at Central relatively late, in 1987, and he and his colleagues were always available to impart information and advice. A great guy. Condolences to the Hinshaw family.

A very special person! I first met Carl through high school sports. Later, we taught together at Wilson Jr. High. He was a good friend and often stopped by our house to talk with Mary and me. Like his father, he was a superb math teacher. Not only did he impart math skills, but he also cared about his students as individuals. Our condolences to the Hinshaw family. May God comfort and guide you.

I'm so sorry but my friend Carl is no longer suffering. I was at his and Dells wedding in 63. Boy it doesn't seem that long ago but the kids and grandkids are grown up
There are so many great memories from all those years. Carl always had a smile for me whenever I was able to visit. I know he will be missed by so many friends, former students , faculty members he taught with and especially his family. He loved his family his years of teaching and coaching
Rest In Peace now Carl

I had the profound blessing of working with Carl @ Park Ave Continuation in the mid 80´s. He was a great mentor & trusted friend. My daughter & his son Jon were in the same CUHS class of 1993.
Carl also touched the life of my sister @ Wilson in the 70´s as her math teacher.
Carl was a remarkable man who left the Valley a better place with his teaching & wise counsel.
My heartfelt condolences to his family.
