CARLOS GUTIERREZ Obituary
July 12, 1934 – May 30, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Carlos Daniel "Danny" Gutierrez.
Danny was born and raised in Calexico, CA. He graduated from Calexico High School in 1953. After high school he enlisted in the Marine Corps. Upon completion of his military service, he attended Imperial Valley College where he received an Associate of Arts degree. He worked for Imperial Hardware for 35 years.
Danny was preceded in death by his first wife, Chonita Gutierrez; and his sisters, Mary Lou and Mercedes.
He is survived by his daughter, Danila Vargas (Jesus); son, Carlos Gutierrez (Araceli); grandchildren, Karina (Eric), Isabella, Ernesto, Daniel; siblings, Beatrice and Antonio; and his second wife, Maria C. Gutierrez.
Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in El Centro on June 26, 2025, at 12 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life in the church reception hall.
