Charles Thomas (Big Charles) was born to the parents of the late McKinley and Eleanor Thomas on October 31, 1953, in Bakersfield, CA. He departed this life on July 9, 2021, in Patton, CA. The Thomas family moved to the Imperial Valley in 1957. Charles attended schools in Brawley, CA.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents McKinley and Eleanor Thomas, brothers Willie D. Thomas and Henry Lee Thomas and sisters Earlene Evans and Joann Thomas.

He leaves to cherish his memories sisters, Clara Stanley and Anita Scott of San Diego, CA, Joyce Thomas, and Lawanda Hollinsead (James) of El Centro and Diane Lofton (James Jr.) of Brawley; brothers, Stanley Thomas and Larry Thomas of Brawley, William Thomas of Madera, CA, Steven and Ronnie Thomas of Bakersfield, CA, and his Two Mom Pearlie Mae Thomas of Brawley as well as a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.

Memorial Services will be held September 18, 2021 at 10 a.m. At Mount Olive Baptist Church, 1321 J Street, in Brawley. Repast will follow at ACC from 11:30 a.m. To 1:30 p.m. at 890 B Street in Brawley.
