1930 - 2021
Demetrio Espitia, 90, of El Centro passed away at home.
He was born December 22, 1930 in Bay City, Texas. He was married to Connie Hurtado for 65 years. He worked as a foreman and crew boss in the Imperial Valley and Barnes Berger in Blythe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Lula Espitia; wife, Connie; son, Joseph Arthur Espitia; four sisters and four brothers.
He is survived by his daughters, Esther Canchola Crivello of Los Altos Hills; Irene (Louie) Pineda of El Centro; Dolores (Armando) Lopez of Imperial; Annie (Doug) Abelson of Vista, CA; daughter-in-law, Susan Espitia of San Diego; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation and rosary will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 9 to 11a.m. at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley, CA. Graveside service will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley, CA.
