Doris Ann Myers, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother departed this life on December 28, 2021. She was born in Westmorland to Fred Curly and Mary Fox on September 25, 1935.

Doris Ann was the youngest of four children and a daddy's girl from the start. Doris attended Westmorland Elementary and then Brawley Union High where she met and fell in love with the only boy she ever dated. The only problem was that two other young ladies were heavily pursuing her future husband of 68 years. She told her family, She did what she had to do to scare them away, but never commented further. She doted on her husband and the polarity between them was truly a treasure for others to witness. Doris was an incredible homemaker and enjoyed spoiling her family regularly with calls, hugs, stories, and baked goods, which were always made from scratch. The holidays were an especially wonderful time for her grandchildren to be around her home. Doris was extremely intelligent and capable of dissecting life's more complex issues with ease. She was the Co-owner of D&M Water, where in the early days, she ran the office out of her house and kept the books. She was an avid reader and for most of her adult life read the LA Times and I.V. Press and did their crossword puzzles daily. Her downtime was spent gardening in her backyard and chatting with her longtime neighbors, Brenda Koon and Mrs. Krutzch.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary fox; husband, Jack; siblings, Alta, Barbara, and Phil.

She leaves behind her sons, Mark (Virgie) and James; grandsons, Mark Jackson, Steven, Bobby, and Jack Daniel; granddaughter, April.

Doris will be dearly missed and remembered most for her dedication to her family and for being a wonderful listener and as assertive as a situation called for.

Visitation will be held on January 22, 2022 at Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley from 10 am to 11 am. Burial to follow at 11 am at Riverview Cemetery.

Mark, Virgie, and family: We were all at such a devastated loss to hear of Aunt Doris' passing. It seems like just yesterday we at Brownies having brunch with you all before we flew back home. Uncle Jack smiling and Aunt Doris laughing her cute laugh. Good times. Please take care of each other as we miss you all. Jim & Janet Pinner

Dearest Mark, Jim and Family, I loved your Mom with all my heart and have missed her terribly since we moved. I so enjoyed our chats because not only was I going to be the recipient of a wealth of knowledge, I was spending special time with my friend who I adored. My heart hurts for all of you but I know Doris loved each of you more than anything in the world and I know your sweet Dad was waiting for her. I wish I could be there to hug all of you tighter than tight and share memories and tears. May God´s Love give all of you Peace and love to each of you.
