DOROTHY RAMSEY Obituary

DOROTHY RAMSEY

June 25, 1957 – Oct. 19, 2025

Dorothy "Dottie" Ramsey, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished woman of faith, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on October 19, 2025. She was 68 years old.

Born June 25, 1957, Dottie was the loving wife of Fred Ramsey for 47 years and two months and 14 days. Together, they built a beautiful life full of love, faith, and kindness. As a mother to John, Joy, and Tim, Mom poured her heart into her children, guiding them with wisdom, grace, and an unwavering love. She took great joy in seeing her family grow. As a grandmother, she was the heart of the family, lavishing her grandchildren, Ethan, Tanner, Elijah, Kelton, Rene, Kaitrin (great grandson, Jasiyah), Kassidy, Blake, Eric, Jude, Adelina, Brooklynn, Weston, Briar, and Kade, with affection and joy. Dottie also deeply treasured her relationships with her son-in-law, Jason, and her daughters-in-law, Carissa and Jess, who were not just family by marriage but beloved members of her heart. Her love for them was endless, and she took pride in how they brought joy and love to her family.

Dottie was passionate about teaching and helping young minds grow. She was a dedicated educator at both BESD and WUESD for 25 years, teaching 1st grade, kindergarten, and students with special needs. Dottie's impact extended far beyond the classroom as she fostered a nurturing environment where every child felt seen, valued, and loved.

A woman of deep Christian faith, Dottie exemplified the love of Christ in everything she did. Her spirit was one of boundless compassion, always offering a listening ear, a kind word, or a helping hand to anyone in need. She had an incredible ability to make everyone feel special and loved, and her warmth and presence lit up every room she entered.

Dottie's devotion to God was evident in all aspects of her life. She was a woman who lived by her beliefs, and her kindness, generosity, and humility were a testament to her love for God and for others. Her prayers, her smile, and her gentle strength will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her immediate family, Dottie leaves a wide circle of friends, fellow church members, and loved ones who will forever remember her beautiful spirit, her unwavering faith, and the love she shared so freely.

A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at the Church of the Nazarene in Brawley on November 1, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., where friends and family are invited to gather and honor her legacy. Burial is on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 8 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Brawley Church of the Nazarene with the designation "For Children's Ministries" in her memory.

Dorothy Ramsey's love for her family, her faith, and her community will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in the peace of God's embrace.

You were such a special part of our family´s journey - guiding all four of my children through their very first steps in school.
Alyssa in 2007, David in 2010, Autumn in 2012, and little Zevin in 2016 - each one began their learning with you, surrounded by your kindness, patience, and warmth.

You didn´t just teach letters and numbers - you taught love, confidence, and curiosity. The impact you made will live on in every one of them.

Thank you for being a light in their lives and for giving them such a beautiful start.
Rest peacefully, Mrs.Ramsey . You will forever be remembered with love and gratitude from our family.
