Our beloved father, son and, brother, Gary Studer of Lakeside, California, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 9th at Kaiser Permanente Zion Medical Center. He passed away surrounded by his family. Gary was 65 years old.

Gary was born on November 13, 1956 in Calexico to Albert Jr. and Margaret (Abatti) Studer.

He attended McCabe Elementary School and graduated from Central Union High School.

Gary spent his life in the farming industry, where as he operated nearly every aspect of the hay supply chain. He began his 45 year career driving a hay truck and unloading the hay by hand. He later bought a hay squeeze to unload hay trucks full time; and he expanded his business to include hay brokerage and sales. Eventually he and his wife owned and operated a feed store in Valley Center.

Gary loved the hay business and appreciated all the farmers and truckers that he worked with throughout his life. He respected their hard work and strongly believed them to be the backbone of this country.

Gary's faith in God and love of his family made his life complete. When not working, he enjoyed hunting and fishing trips with his kids, playing bingo, going to church and called or visited with his mother, brother and sisters regularly.

He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh, and he loved to make others laugh as well. Even in the most difficult times in life, Gary could brighten the mood with a joke.

Gary was preceded in death by his father Albert Studer, Jr.

Gary is survived by his wife, Pam; mother, Margaret Studer and three children Kristin, Jared and Brandon, brother Larry Studer, two sisters Cathy Dresher and Diane Faulkner and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held on January 29, 2022 at Saint Mary's Church - 795 S. La Brucherie Rd. in El Centro, CA. Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
