May 6, 1930 – Feb. 5, 2025
Isabel Cortez Bracamonte, 94, of El Centro, passed away peacefully in her home on February 5, 2025. Isabel was born in Clovis, CA on May 6, 1930, to Francisco and Trinidad Cortez. She attended schools in El Centro graduating from Central Union High School in 1948.
Isabel married in 1950, and they had three children, Mary Ellen (Carlos) Espinoza, Elizabeth (Michael) Givens, and Manuel (Shannon) Bracamonte; grandchildren, Erik (Valerie) Valladolid, Queana (Scott) Jarvis, Aja (Brandon) Sweet, Adrian (Shannon) Givens, and Sierra (Kurt) Dunn; great-great-grandchildren, Issac Rouhotos, Danielle Valladolid, Makena Valladolid, Makenzie Valladolid, Santino Givens, Isaiah Givens, Quentin Givens, Amiah, Givens, Josiah Givens, Jaxon Williams, Cora Lee Dunn, Ada Lynn Dunn, and Emily Grace Dunn.
Isabel was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Trinidad; sisters, Maggie Cortez, Iggie Cortez, Baudelia Saragoza, and Isidra Caro; brother, Ignacio Cortez; son-in-law, Danny Valladolid Sr.; and grandsons, Danny Valladolid Jr., and Anthony Giovanni Valladolid Sr.
Viewing and Rosary will be held on March 11, 2025, at 7 p.m. at Hems Mortuary in El Centro. Mass will commence on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 153 E. Brighton Ave., in El Centro. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
