JOHN MATHEW BILBERRY
Feb. 24, 1975- June 7, 2005
John Mathew Bilberry was born in Bellflower, California on February 24, 1975. He was the youngest son of Don and Kathleen Bilberry, brother to David and Jason and brother-in-law to Patty and Jane. He was also the much loved "Uncle Tio" to Seamus, Ryan, Emily and Ronan. John's grandparents, Raymond and Winnie Bilberry and Phil and Anne Titsworth, were long time residents of Imperial Valley. He lost his battle with melanoma on June 7, 2005 at his parent's home in Bella Vista, Arkansas.
John recently attended the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque, majoring in Engineering. He was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints. John was always adventurous and loved the outdoors. He taught snowboarding in Utah, Oregon, and New York and wakeboarding in California. He will be greatly missed by all that he touched.
Services for John will be held in Colorado Springs, Colo. at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints, 1310 S. Aeroplaza Dr., on Monday, June 13 at 2 p.m. Internment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crater Foundation in memory of John Bilberry, 4410 Rogue Valley Hwy, Central Point, OR 97502; or to the Robert W. Franz Cancer Research Center, 4805 Northeast Glisan, Portland, OR 97213.
