Josette M. Rodriguez, 82, of El Centro, CA, passed away peacefully in her home on July 21, 2023. Family surrounded her when she entered God's Kingdom. She was born on December 14, 1940, in France, to Paul and Paulette.
Josette was the most loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her 3 children, Juan, Corinne, and Jennifer; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her faithful dog, Coconut. Josette was preceded in death by her husband, Jose, of 50 years; son, Jacques; and sister, Ginette.
Josette's home always seemed to provide comfort and love, plus a great many other things for those who needed more. When you look at the care she gave to her husband, her family, and her home, Josette must be admired for her assiduousness. Her persistence, her untiring attention, and her love provided a wonderful home for her family. And for all that, Josette was down-to-earth and modest. However, she was fierce when anyone, made trouble for someone she loved.
She has taught so much to her children and grandchildren over the years. But the one thing she always did was spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was truly the backbone of the family. Always there whenever anyone needed her. She was loved and admired by everyone who was lucky enough to get to know her.
A Rosary and viewing will be held on August 17, 2023 from 6-9pm at Hems Brothers Mortuary at 1975 S. 4th St. El Centro, with the Rosary starting at 7pm. The Mass and the Funeral will be held on August 18, 2023 at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 795 South La Brucherie Ave., El Centro. Immediately after Mass, Josette will be laid to rest with Jose in their shady spot at Evergreen Cemetery, located at 201 East Gillett Rd., in El Centro. Celebration of life to follow at St. Mary Catholic Church Parish Center in the St. Gregory room, with light refreshments after the conclusion of the burial.

Corrine, Jennifer and Juan, first of all my condolence to the family, when I moved to Lenrey st across from Joe and Josette I knew it was the perfect place to live, I had never had such wonderful neighbors until Joe and josette they were the best ever, but I moved from there and still josette was the best ever, my FRIEND, she was a good listener, always there to help however she could, as I write all this, tears are just falling I could go on and on about my sweet friend I just know I'm missing you so much now and I will never forget you and will forever be in my heart, I have such good memories of us when we got togetherand thank you for that. I'm just glad you're with you're hubby and son and you're not suffering anymore and thank you for your Beautiful Friendship that I will treasure forever. Matthew told me to tell you that he Loves you. Tell Joe we still miss him and love him too. May you RIP my Beautiful Friend

God bless Josette! May she Rest In Peace. . My wife Rosa and I only met her once In Seattle and spent the day enjoying a local winery. Josette was a lovely and caring person and will be missed by her friends and family. Her son Juan Rodriguez is my brother-in-law.
