KARL LIECHTY Obituary

Karl Max Liechty passed on May 17, 2022 in Murrieta, CA at the age of 92. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Betty Heatherington (2014 age 86).
Karl and Betty married in 1958 and moved to Arvin, CA where he taught music in Kern County schools and directed the Arvin Congregational Church choir. In 1968 they moved to Bakersfield where he became a computer analyst for the Kern County Data Processing Department.
In 1973, the Liechty family moved to El Centro, CA where Karl worked as the Imperial County Data Processing Manager until his retirement in 1993. In 1997 they moved to Murrieta, CA and thrived as devoted servants to numerous civic organizations.
He is survived by his children, Bill, Heather, and Jack, seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
To God alone give the glory for a life well lived. A military service will be held at the Bakersfield National Cemetery on June 29, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. Soli Deo Gloria.
