LARRY BERTUSSI Obituary
Dec. 18, 1951 – July 13. 2024
On July 13, 2024, Larry passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family at YRMC, Yuma, AZ.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Gianni (John) and Helen Bertussi; brothers, Reno and Randy; and daughter, Dionna Dawn.
Larry is survived by his wife, Jenell; daughters, Gionna Hannay, Desi Dewbre, and Amarie Stallworth; grandchildren, Karsyn, Caden, Colton, and Kolbymae Hannay, Jackson, Dailyn and Cannon Dewbre, Matthew Brewer, Luke and Levi Stallworth; brother, Gio; sisters, Linda Mayo, Polly Kuiper, Bella Bertussi, and Angie West; and God daughter, Leslie VanDerLinden.
Larry was a California general contractor, providing services in Imperial Valley, San Diego, and Los Angeles Counties. He began in this industry with his dad, John, and brothers, Gio, Randy, and Reno.
Besides his beautiful daughters and their families activities his passions included shooting, local bird hunting and fishing, also deer, boar, elk, and bear hunting, deep sea fishing and horseback riding. He throughly loved sharing these skills and adventures with his adored three daughters, ten cherished grandchildren, loved brothers and hunting buddies.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Family visitation from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Mass will commence at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 795 S. La Brucherie Ave., El Centro, California. Celebration of life & lunch Immediately following Mass Moose Lodge, 2310 Myrtle Rd., Imperial, CA.

I remember going fishing with Larry & Rino for a weekend to San Felipe/Portecitos. Larry took his boat, we caught so much fish that we were even able to give a lot of fish to the locals. We had a great time! On another occasion I went dove hunting with Larry, his hunting dogs & his brothers & dad to the Mexicali Valley. Dove hunting was incredible, we all got our limit in the morning & evening. The people who were living in the Mexicali Ejidos were happy with the doves we gave them. Larry played hard but he was also a very hard worker. He always spoke about his family who he loved very much. RIP Larry & my sincere condolences to Janell & the entire family.

My condolences to the family. I have fond memories of Reno, Randy and Larry, we all grew up in a different time. I wouldn't trade those memories for anything and I know the brothers wouldn't either. I wish them all eternal peace! Larry I still remember the last time we saw each other it seems like yesterday although its probably been at least 10 years. RIP ole friend!
