It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Leticia Garcia Petty, a devoted Christian woman who brought joy and inspiration to all those who knew her. Leticia was born in El Paso, TX, on December 3, 1958. She left this world on May 30, 2023, to be with the Lord.
Leticia led a life defined by her unwavering faith, kindness, and selflessness. She was last employed by Imperial Valley College, where she worked for over 24 years. Beyond her church involvement, Leticia was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to so many.
She was preceded in death by her father, Manual Garcia; sister, Susan Garcia; and sons, Ernest Joseph (Joey) and Steven Michael Garibaldi. She is survived by her mother, Elvia Garcia; husband, Jack Petty; daughter, Jessika (Chris) Romero; stepdaughters, Oliva Petty and Juanita (Jason) Rothlein; siblings, Manual, Alfred, Francis, Aldo, Joe, and Andy Garcia; grandchildren, Steven Jr. Jessica, Elizabeth, and Kain Garibaldi, Nathan Romero, Joslyn and Jaclyn Rothlein.
Services will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 11 am at Christ Community Church, 572 W. Orange St., El Centro, CA.
