I worked at Sutherland & Gerber for over twenty years. Skip was a very kind and generous man that worked above and beyond the call of duty to help his many clients. He was also a great mentor. A remarkable legal career is an understatement. He was the best trial lawyer our Valley has ever had! It was an honor to have had the opportunity to work alongside him for so many years. Condolences to the Sutherland family.

In 1978, at the young age of 19, Skip hired me to work in his law office. Throughout the nearly four decades we worked together ('til 2015), he was a mentor and a friend. Yes, a remarkable career, indeed. Prayers and condolences for the family. He will be missed.
