Manuel Altamirano Obituary

Sept. 24, 1947 - Oct. 3, 2015
As the newness of the
morning on October 3,
2015 turned into a midday
departure, Manuel S. Al-
tamirano surrounded by
his family, peacefully
joined his loved ones in
Heaven. Those fortunate
to have met Manuel en-
joyed his gregarious per-
sonality and larger than
life persona with a gener-
ous golden heart. He
lived his life without
boundaries embraced by
an unassuming compas-
sion for people and
strangers alike. Manuel was born Sep-
tember 24, 1947 in Los
Banos, California. He at-
tended Brawley schools
and ambitiously started
Altamirano Trucking as a
very young man. His ven-
ture proved to be suc-
cessful as his fleet grew
from one to four trucks,
naming his prize truck
"Blanca" after his first
born. Manuel was a genu-
ine automobile aficiona-
do, he was a proud owner
of a 1957 and 1958 Chev-
rolet which ignited his
passion to follow his
heart into the automobile
industry. Manuel's popularity as
a reputable car sales-
man/sales manager in the
Imperial Valley devel-
oped from his commit-
ment to treat everyone
with respect and keep his
customers as well as fam-
ily, happy and satisfied
with their purchase. His
business ethic, knowl-
edge and professionalism
produced many repeat
customers who remained
loyal throughout the dec-
ades. Manuel received
numerous awards naming
him "Top Salesman of the
Year", accolades of rec-
ognition and gratuitous
gestures from so very
many people who re-
garded him as a genuine-
ly kind and caring indi-
vidual. A few of Manuel's most
memorable ways to pass
the time were playing
jokes, disguising his voice
when he called, buying
and delivering ice cream,
fruit and sweets to his
family and absolutely
loved picking watermel-
ons for EVERYONE he
cared for. He loved to en-
tertain and cook almost
as much as he enjoyed
fishing trips and family
vacations to Ensenada,
San Felipe and mariscos
in Mexicali. Manuel's
most precious moments
were spent with his
grandchildren all which
will miss their beloved
"Grandpa" and "TaTa".
Manuel S. Altamirano's
legacy of family and un-
conditional love will be
in our hearts forever. Manuel's survivors in-
clude his wife Tillie;
daughter Katherine Blan-
ca (Rick) Ruane; daugh-

My condolences to the entire Altamirano Family on your lost of Manuel "Pato" as he was called by his friends. He used to call me Primo because I married one of his cousins. He was a nice and funny guy that was fun to be around with especially at family gatherings, he used to make fun of everyone but in a good way. He will be missed primo!
