MARIA GLORIA ENRIQUEZ

1925 - 2021

Maria Gloria Enriquez, age 95, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2021. Maria and her husband worked in the agricultural field following the crops thru Lampoc, Idaho and Legrand. Settling and making their permanent home in Westmorland with their two sons on a cold Thanksgiving Day in 1964. Maria, was a devout Catholic and the Virgin Mary. She dearly loved her sons and grandchildren. She spent her mornings attending to her garden, and watching novelas with her daughter in law, Rosa. Maria is best remembered for her kindness, her endearing smile and the best enchiladas and cheese gorditas in the town of Westmorland. Maria was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Trevino Enriquez and her beloved son Jesus Gloria Enriquez. She is survived by her beloved son Jose Ricardo Enriquez; sister Cleotilde Bazaldua and Rene Bazaldua Ruiz whom she loved and cared for as a son; grand children Jose, Lupita, Martina, Melissa, Maricel, Jesse, great- grand children and great- great-grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to attend rosary services at Frye Chapel in Brawley on March 25, 2021 from 6pm to 9pm. A memorial mass in her honor will be held on March 26, 2021 at 10am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Brawley, CA. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetary, Brawley.
