MARTHA JOSEFINA ARROYO
Dec. 31, 1966 - Jan. 22, 2011
Visitation and rosary will be held Thursday, January 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Holtville for Martha Josefina Arroyo who died Saturday, January 22 as the result of a traffic accident at the intersection of Highway 7 and Heber Road near Holtville. She was 44.
Mass will commence at 10 a.m. Friday, January 28 at St. Joseph's Church with Father Jorge Moreno officiating. Burial will follow at Terrace Park Cemetery.
Martha was born December 31, 1966 in Mexicali, BC, MX and was married to her high school sweetheart, Juan Antonio Arroyo on November 17, 1989 in Holtville.
Mrs. Arroyo was the varsity girls' soccer coach for 10 years in Holtville, and president of Holtville's California Youth Soccer Association for 10 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother whose greatest accomplishments were loving and caring so much for her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends. With her fun character and loving personality she brought much happiness and joy to her family and friends.
Martha is survived by her husband, Juan Arroyo; sons, Juan Arroyo Jr., Jose Arroyo, and Cesar Arroyo; daughter, Yessenia Arroyo; grandchildren, Christian, Kassandra, Cesar Jr., and Francisco Arroyo; parents, Jose and Juana Romero; sisters, Gabriella Luzanilla, Dora Fuentes and Karina Romero; brother, Felipe Romero, and many family and friends.

Martha, no tengo palabras para describir el dolor de tu partida. Recuerdo todos los momentos lindos que comparti al lado de ti y toda tu familia. Forme parte de tu historia y soy muy afortunado. Martha tuve el placer de conocerte en el trabajo y luego comomi vecina. Recuedo todos los dias al irme al trabajo ver como dabas de comer a tus animalitos. We'll miss you dearly Martha(!), you were such a loving, charasmatic and special person, but we're blessed we had a chance to meet you and share special occasions with you...you were the life of the party, and you always made us laugh. You're love for your family was unquestionable. You're family has many thanks to you, you were an exemplary wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, coach, sister etc...,This is very tragic news for everyone. My heart goes out to the family...I admire their strength in going through such a hardship.
Time heals all wounds--it may seem impossible to ever overcome this now, but the Arroyo/Romero family ties are very strong, and as long as you remain united and in support of each other, you can overcome anything. Honor her and we're sure Martha was, and will be very proud of all of you(!)
