MICHAEL RAY FIMBRES

Michael Ray Fimbres passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Grossmont Sharp Hospital in San Diego.
He was born in San Diego on April 24, 1980 to Abelardo Fimbres and Ernestina Noriega. Michael attended elementary schools in Brawley. Later he and his mother relocated to Los Banos, CA where he graduated from Los Banos High, Class of 1998. He later met and married Ida Fimbres. From this union, two beautiful daughters were born into this world. In 2002, Michael graduated from Wyo-Tech, where his career began in the auto body and paint industry. He was a devout Oakland A's and San Diego Chargers fan.
He loved spending time with family and friends, and his daughters were his life. Even though Michael was diagnosed with a heart disorder, he somehow knew his life here was going to be but a short breeze passing us by; however, he still held a positive attitude about life and people, and as Michael would always say to everyone (two fingers spread).
He always made time to visit his grandma Cruz in Holtville, and that was the last place he spent time at just before his death. He was well loved and we will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Adela and Fred Narcisso; Tata, Abelardo C. Fimbres; uncle Leonard Melendez; and great-grandmother, Mama Nati.
Michael is survived by his wife, Ida Fimbres; daughters, Adriana and Imaya Fimbres; stepson, Delvonte Moore of Los Banos, CA; father, Abelardo R. Fimbres of Brawley; mother, Ernestina Noriega of Los Banos; brother Max Ornelas of Los Banos; grandparents Bill and Cruz Layton of Holtville; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. We love you kid.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. at White Hurst Funeral Chapel in Los Banos, CA. Services will be held September 20 at 10 a.m. and burial will follow.
