MILLIE SPAUGH Obituary

MILLIE SPAUGH

Sept. 25, 1967 - July 10, 2025

We are saddened to share the passing of Millie Spaugh on July 10, 2025, a lifelong supporter of 4-H and local youth. Millie graduated from Imperial High School, being active in FFA and 4-H, serving as a student leader. She studied agriculture education at Imperial Valley College, Reedley College, and Chico State, later working in schools and youth programs in the Chico area. After returning to Imperial Valley, Millie worked as a substitute teacher, coordinated estate sales, and remained active in county 4-H. She was a familiar face at the fair, organizing still exhibits and helping with summer 4-H programs.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at Valley Christian Church, 431 Wall Rd, Imperial on August 9, 2025, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, you can donate to 4-H, Cody's Closet, or any animal organization.

I was saddened to hear of the loss of Ms. Spaugh. She was very well-liked by students and teachers. She subbed for me and many other teachers at Southwest High School with grace and professionalism.

Millie was always kind and generous, willing to help and always with a warm smile. She gave her time and energy without seeking recognition or accolades. Hey quiet strength and selfless spirit touched many, she will be deeply missed.

Millie gave selflessly of her time and incredible talents to the 4-H program. She was a wonderful leader, often taking on tasks in her quiet and unassuming manner, always steadfast and reliable. She will be terribly missed.
