Our beloved Olga Maldonado passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, surrounded by her family. Olga was born in Nogales, Sonora to Conrada Martinez Zuniga and Ramon Ochoa. She married Rodolfo (Fito) Maldonado on February 11, 1954, at Saint Margaret Mary Church in Brawley, by Father Whelan. Olga worked for Pioneers Memorial Hospital for 15 years.
Olga was not only a devoted and loving wife, mother, nana, and friend but also dedicated her life to God. During her lifetime she participated as a catechism instructor, a eucharistic minister, and belonged to the Guadalupana group for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Brawley. She continued at Saint Mark's Catholic Church in San Marcos, where she relocated in the year 2000. She was a very loving and compassionate person, and her smile and laughter would hold a special place in the hearts of all who loved her. Olga will forever be in our hearts and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by Rodolfo (Fito) Maldonado and her sons, Rodolfo (Rudy) Maldonado Jr. and Mark Anthony Maldonado; and is survived by her daughters, Enriqueta Guerrero of San Marcos; Olga and Johnny Jr. Santos of Brawley, Arleen Garcia of Phoenix, Ann Kathy Garcia of Rancho Bernardo, Rachel and Ricky Guzman of El Centro; sons, David and Yolanda Maldonado of Oceanside, Mario and Nena Maldonado of El Centro; 23 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025. Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Brawley. Burial will follow immediately after at Riverview Cemetery.
