REYES RAMIREZ QUINTANA

1920 - 2020

Reyes Ramirez Quintana, was born to Juan and Antonia Ramirez in Batuc, Sonora Mexico. On January 5, 1920 Reyes passed peacefully in his sleep on February 12, 2020. He is survived by his wife Cirila Ramirez of Holtville, whom he had been married for almost 73 years, she lovingly called him "Papi". He also leaves his children Juan Ramon, Rafael Ramirez, Natividad Conception, Maria de Jesus, Trinidad, Jose Francisco, Guillermo and Reyes Jr.; 27 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren whom lovingly called him "Papa Yeye". Anyone whom ever visited the Ramirez farm never left empty handed, he always made sure they left with something he had grown himself. Reyes was a very generous man, he helped whomever he could and would always try to fill a need if possible. He is known to many, for his immense generosity, humility, integrity, his work ethic, his intelligence, and a good Christian man. Reyes, was excellent example of a husband, father, grandfather and beyond. His family was able to gift him with a 100th birthday celebration just 1 month before his passing and are great full for the time they were able to spend with him. His family thank the staff at Valley Convalescent Center and UNICARE Hospice, whom cared for him in his final days. His family would also like to thank all whom offered their condolences and have shown them so much support during this difficult time. His funeral services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 9 a.m. with rosary at 10 a.m. and Holy mass at 11:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Internment will be at Terrace Park in Holtville. The community is invited to a celebration of Reyes's life at St. Joseph Parish Hall immediately after all services.
