RICARDO BELTRAN Obituary

RICARDO F. BELTRAN

Apr. 2, 1939 – Feb. 22, 2025

Ricardo F. (Kayo) Beltran, peacefully went to be with our Lord on February 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at his home. Born April 2, 1939, in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico to Crispin Beltran & Mariana Figueroa, he was sixth in birth line of 14 siblings.

Ricardo graduated and began working at the Fiscal Agency. He later went to the United States, where he was drafted and served in the military branch of the US Army. Ricardo settled in the Imperial Valley, where he worked at Valley Music Company vending with his uncle, Antonio (Tony) Beltran. Ricardo & family were instrumental in Tony Beltrans successful election for city council & mayor.

MaTeresa was the love of Ricardo's life. They met in elementary, but Cupid worked his magic at a special dance when they both worked at the fiscal agency. Their love grew during a long-distance courtship while Ricardo was stationed at Ft. Lewis, Washington. They married in the Catholic Church in September 1964 and dedicated their lives to the care and support of raising their children: Myrna, Ricardo, Arturo & Sylvia.

Ricardo was very active at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He was a productive member of the parish group "Los Guadalupanos," being a top-fundraiser, cooking; also serving as Secretary & President. He was Minister of Liturgy (reading) volunteering for many years. Ricardo was also a member of the Hispanic American Mutualist Association, where he served as President, Secretary & Treasurer.

Ricardo was known for his quiet gentle nature. He loved gardening and enjoyed puzzles and crafts. He was a loving loyal husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. He was a true friend and a devout Catholic and will live in our hearts forever.

Ricardo is survived by his wife, MaTeresa Beltran & their children: Myrna, Ricardo II, Arturo & Sylvia; grandchildren, (Myrna) Jasmin, Edwin, Sylvia, (Ricardo II) Susana, Ricardo III, Amanda, Elisa, (Arturo) Alexus, Briana, Arturo Daniel, (Sylvia) Jason, Audrey, Aaron; and great-grandchildren, (Jasmin) Aiden, Zoey, Eliza, Lydia, (Susana:) Aubrey, Christopher, Avery, (Ricardo III) Alessandra, Isabella, (Amanda) Daniel, (Elisa) Ariana, Giana, Steven, (Alexus) Carter, Tessa, Raelyn, (Briana) Blakely, BunInOven; and his surviving siblings: Sergio, Jorge, Antonio, Irma Emma, Ana Lydia, Norma, Dora. As true believers in our faith we look forward to being reunited with him again.

Rosary will be held on March 21, 2025, at 9 a.m. Mass will commence at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 153 East Brighton Ave., in El Centro. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 201 E. Gillett St., and luncheon will be at the Eagles Hall, 661 State St., in El Centro.

Words are hard to find at this time. I'm grateful that fate crossed our paths at a local VA appointment, and I was able to see him once again. That smile had not changed in 40 years. Find comfort in the memories, and he will always be with you.
