ROBERT ANDREW TRANTHAM

Robert Andrew Trantham, 82, of El Centro, California, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 19, 2023.

He was born on May 21, 1941, in Portageville, Missouri, to Cleo and Martha Trantham. He graduated from Holtville High School in 1959 and joined the United States Army in 1960. He was a skilled craftsman and carpenter who enjoyed deep sea fishing, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Robert is survived by his wife, Gloria Trantham; daughter, Susan Russel; her husband, David; and grandsons, Max and Mason. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Layton-Trantham.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10am on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Evergreen Cemetery in the military pavilion, with a reception following at Desert Trails RV Park in El Centro. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations be made to; Homes for Our Troops www.hfotusa.org.
