VICKY FERGUSON Obituary

VICKY DIANE

FERGUSON

Mar. 4, 1951 – Feb. 6, 2025

Vicky Diane Ferguson (Jarrell), 73, of El Centro, CA, passed away on February 6, 2025. Born in Brawley, CA, on March 4, 1951, she spent her entire life in El Centro. She graduated from Central Union High School in 1969.

Vicky dedicated a large portion of her career as a bookkeeper working for the late Louise Willey and later retired from Meadows Union School District in 2015.

Her early years as a mother were filled with love and creativity, as she baked and decorated birthday cakes and cookies for her children and their classmates. Vicky was known for her strong alto voice and sang at numerous weddings and funerals, touching many lives with her heartfelt performances.

In her retirement, Vicky cherished her time with her church family, participating in ladies groups and Bible classes. She also found joy in traveling, with highlight trips including cruises to Alaska with her family and the Caribbean with her sisters. Above all, her greatest passion was her grandchildren, two living in Imperial, CA, and the other four residing in Minnesota.

Preceded in death by her husband, Sid Ferguson, who passed away in 1992, Vicky is survived by her son, TAD Ferguson of El Centro, CA; her daughter, Katrina Wherry (Ferguson), and her husband, Sean Wherry, along with their children, Ferguson, Charlie, Julia Mae, and Hayston, all of Cold Spring, MN. She is also survived by Rimmie and Scott Mosher, who she considered her daughter and son-in-law, and their children, Scotty and Kalei, who she considered her grandchildren, all of Imperial, CA. Additionally, Vicky is survived by her siblings, Jere Jarrell, Sandra Wooten, Randall Jarrell, Ron Jarrell, Pamela Dameron, and is preceded in death by Suni Dungan.

Vicky was a faithful Christian and lifelong member of the Church of Christ in El Centro, CA. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, her family, and her church family. A celebration of Vicky's life will be held near Easter time, with details to be provided later.
