Arneta Oliver Obituary
A visitation will be held in her honor at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro, Texas, on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with services to follow. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Jacksboro, Texas.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Oliver Estay and her husband Wayne of Lockport, Louisiana; daughter-in-law, Lois Doucet Oliver of Lockport, Louisiana; granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Estay of Larose, Louisiana; grandson, L.D. "Miko" Oliver, III (Matt) of Denver, Colorado; Step-granddaughters Elizabeth St Pierre (Dean) of Cut Off, Louisiana and Lea Cheramie of Larose, Louisiana; great-grandson, Kyle Anthony Estay of Lafayette, Louisiana, and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. Oliver, Sr.; father, Arnie Claude Pringle; mother, Edna Mae Denson Thompson; son, L.D. "Mike" Oliver, Jr.; brother, Douglas Thompson; grandson, John Michael Estay.
She resided in Larose, Louisiana, for over 60 years. She worked most of her life in insurance and co-owning Golden Meadow Insurance Agency for many of those years. Mrs. Oliver faithfully cared for her mother for 2 years and her loving husband for 10 years. She enjoyed playing cards, working in her yard, crocheting and sewing. She showered her family with love and affection and a keeper of family traditions.
The family is very grateful to St. Anne Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospice for the care, love, and support given to Mrs. Oliver.
