Velma "Jeanne" Donoho

Donoho, Velma "Jeanne" Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the age of 92, surrounded by family. She was the daughter of Emmett and Velma Strouss of Jackson, MI. On February 18, 1945 she married the love of her life, George I. Donoho, he preceded her in death on March 21, 2016. She was a wonderful mother to three children, Carol (Raymond) Kenyon, Dennis (Pat) Donoho and Rick (Sue) Donoho and devoted grandmother to nine grandchildren, Tami Schichtel, Adam Kenyon, George "Matthew" Kenyon, Alissa Gonzalez, Jonathan Donoho, Lindsay Pittman, Joshua Donoho, Christian Donoho, and Jamison Donoho. eleven great-grandchildren, Rebecca (Eric) Ahrns, Jake Schichtel, Poter Kenyon, Josie Kenyon, Olivia Kenyon, Hailey Kenyon, Selah Gonzalez, Judah Gonzalez, Hadassah Gonzalez, Isaiah Donoho and Noah Donoho She is survived by two sisters, Betty (Dale) Vogel and Charolotte Brown. Jeanne enjoyed playing piano with George and the guitar for church and at family gatherings. She also played the base fiddle in her younger years. She touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed. A celebration of her life will be held at Cornerstone Church (1801 Cortland Blvd, Jackson, MI 49203) at 11:00am on Tuesday January 30, 2018. The family will receive friends for visitation at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Monday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. also at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. She will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
