Pete A. Sertuche Sr.

Pete A. Sertuche, Sr., of Edna, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the age of 65. He was born May 23, 1956, in Cuero, Texas to Natividad Sertuche, Sr. and Corrine Adame Sertuche.

    Pete retired as an operator for E.L. Crisp after 15 years of service. He had a great passion for music. Pete was an amazing musician, who loved singing and had played the drums since he was 8 years old. He enjoyed spending time surrounded by his friends and family, especially while barbequing. Pete loved the outdoors and never passed up a chance to go hunting or fishing. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed by so many.

    Pete is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Linda Sertuche; sons, Carlos Sertuche (Carol) and Pete Sertuche, Jr. (Kristi) all of Edna; mother, Corrine Valdez of Victoria; grandchildren, Presleigh Sertuche, Londyn Sertuche, Everly Sertuche, Krystall Meza, Aaron Meza, and Jonathon Meza; and great- grandchild, Penelope Andrade. He is also survived by his sister, Martha Rivera of Victoria, and brothers, Natividad Sertuche, Jr. of Victoria, Mark Sertuche, Wally Sertuche, Johnny Sertuche, and Simon Sertuche all of Atlanta, Texas.

    He is preceded in death by his father, Natividad Sertuche, Sr.; son, Pedro Sertuche; and stepfather, Julian Valdez.

    Pallbearers will be Carlos Sertuche, Pete Sertuche, Jr., Frank Pi?a III (Trae), Saul Sertuche, Derrik Bermea, and Emilio Hernandez, Jr.

    Honorary Pallbearers will be Joseph (Bud) Sertuche, Domingo Garcia, Jr., Domingo Hernandez, and Shane Harvey.

    Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in Edna, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 10 a.m., also in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow in the Latin American Cemetery in Edna, Texas.
