Hi there sweet man ! I’m so happy we had the years together that God granted us. The joy this Grandma felt the day you were born, and the pain I felt the day you passed away, were and are 2of the most memorable ones of my life. Thank you for all the joys you gave and thank you for the ones that weren’t joyful as they were teaching moments. No G’ma could possibly be prouder, nor is there a G’ma that could love as much as I do you. That half of my heart that I promised is still there ::winking::
Lot of Love BUCKO and please say Hi to O’pa and all the rest for me.

I know it took me a few months to write in here. Still is a surreal thought. Misty, you continue to rely on God, your family and friends to get you through. Rhys, your daddy had a great sense of humor and loved his country. I know that your mother will make sure you have that same pride in whatever you do in life. <

Misty and Rhys, Chris is my best friend, he told me once to live every day like it was my last. He holds all my secrets and I hold some for him. Every day I go to call him but when I hit the button I remember I can't. Each day I try to do what he told me, so I pass these words to you; live life to the fullest chase your dreams no matter the cost the people you love and love you will forgive your mistakes and help achieve your goals because we only have one life to live make it the best you can and if there is anything I can do let me know.

Christopher - You have been in my life since you were 12, we had our ups and downs but in the end, we became VERY close. We never hung up with out saying I love you. I am so very proud of the man that you had become. When I saw you at Christmas with Misty and Rhys, I realized what a family man you had become - the pride in your eyes and face touched my very soul. I will miss you more than words can say but know this, we will be there for you family. Anything Misty or Rhys may need, we will be there. Lately it's just been a hug, but we have plenty of them to go around. I love you Son and wish we could have had more time together.

To say that he was a blessing to my life doesn't seem to cover it, Chris was my biggest supporter, encourager, counselor, and Fan. If ever I needed to turn to someone for that in your face advice I would suck it up and tell him what I did and wait for the advice to come spewing out, he evolved from being a long time friend to my brother...my rollerblading buddy...and the voice of reason when I had exhausted every excuse, I will never forget his words, sarcasm, criticism, love, and friendship. He really was the standard for LOVE LOYALTY and FRIENDSHIP as the IRISH SAY...He will never leave me and I am so thankful to Misty and her support of his friendship with me. Thank you dear for loving my brother. God bless you and Chris's little legacy. Chris we'll be seein you.

Chris, I'll never forget the first time we met in high school, I made an instant friend. I remember the other kids thinking we had known each other for years. Thank you, for being such a great friend over the years and never letting us stay out of touch. We will miss you dearly!

January 23, 2011

We are so sad at the death of Chris. He was such fun, and had a quick wit and ready smile. When Rachael and I first saw little Rhys in JCP with a crowd of ladies around, and Misty looking great, we had a lot of laughs about which school Rhys would go to since his parents were from two different universities--Chris and I joked in the "Minne-soda" accent that is so unique to that state, and we knew that one little boy and one lovely lady were very lucky indeed to have Chris. The last time we saw Misty and Chris with Rhys, Rhys was working on getting some teeth, and the love among the three of them was beautiful to see. It was a privilege to know Chris, if only briefly, and we send love and prayers to all. Thank you, too, for Chris' service in the Navy. He packed a lot of life into his 31 years. God bless you.
