Dupree was a good friend for over 30 years. He was a good man and I enjoyed my visits with him. I moved away from Jackson 13 years ago, but we kept in contact. He served our country in WW II but you would not know it unless you asked him. He was a man of humility. He lost his shade tree in his front yard in the tornado that damaged his home in 2003. I gave him a tulip poplar tree out of my yard as it is a fast growing tree and it was not long until Dupree has some amount of shade from the tree. That tree can be a symbol of our friendship. His family have been in my thoughts and prayers but they can rest assured Dupree is in a better place and time will bring us together again,
