Georgia Cary Obituary

Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia Evelyn Williams Cary age 86 of the Westport Community will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday October 26 2005 in the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Jamison Cemetery. Bro. Rufus Chandler and Bro. Fred Ward will officiate. Mrs. Cary a homemaker and co-principal in the operation of Cary Farms passed away at Bruceton LifeCare Center after an extended illness. Born July 20 1918 she was the daughter of the late Clyde O. and Lenora Green Williams. She was a member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church and active in the Tennessee Farm Bureau and other trade and community service organizations. She was honored in 1999 for her more than 50 years dedicated service to the University of Tennessee Home Extension Program. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Graper Cary and son Billy M. Cary. She is survived by one son Barry Janice Cary of Jackson daughter-in-law Sylvia C. Cary of Huntingdon grandsons Jason and Justin Cary of Nashville Michael E. Susan Cary of Huntingdon Mark E. Laura Cary of Memphis and great grandchildren Ethan Carter Campbell and Fontana along with nephews: Wilson late Margaret Therrell of Huntingdon Robert E. Carol Woods of Cordova and George M. Ernestine Roberts of Meridian MS. Devoted caregivers Nettie Ellis and Francis Pinkley plus a legacy of friends and associates. Visitation will be from 4 PM until 8 PM on Tuesday October 25 2005 in the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home. Dilday Funeral Home 731-986-8281 www.dilday.com
