Kitty Robertson Obituary

After 100 years of loving others and serving God Miss Kitty Robertson left this earth from her home in Trenton Tennessee to receive her heavenly crown on Thursday May 27 2004. Miss Kitty was born on August 19 1903 and spent her entire life teaching others in schools in Gibson County and as a Sunday School teacher at Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Miss Kitty's life purpose was to teach and encourage everyone she met to love one another and to be happy. She truly lived what she taught. Because of her we are richly blessed. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Alice Mitchell; brothers Russell Robertson and Jack Robertson; her nephews James Robertson Mitchell M.S. Bub Mitchell and Billy Robertson and a niece Helen Mitchell Williams. Left to cherish her memories are nieces Martha Emily and Tommy Mills of Jackson Peggy and Gene Cormier of Texas Mary Ann and Carl Harlan of Ohio Betty Robertson Billy of Nashville and Mary Mitchell Bub of Trenton; a host of nieces and nephews great nieces and nephews and even great great great nieces and nephews and her dearest and best friend Willeace Cooper of Nashville. Kitty had 'angels' that took care of her and because of them she was able to spend her last years comfortably at home. To these dedicated angels the family is eternally grateful. They are: Evelyn McCord and Nannie Jane Hopper of Humboldt Sarah Truell of Milan Joy Koffman of Trenton Velma Malone of Gibson Jewell Hensley of Brazil and others. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. today May 29th at Oak Grove UMC. The services will be today at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Humboldt.
