Raymel Anglin Obituary

Services for Raymel Volner Anglin, age 78, will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Lawrence - Sorensen Funeral Home with Brother Don Taylor officiating. Burial will be held at Lester's Chapel Cemetery in Jackson.

Mrs. Anglin was born in Madison County on February 26, 1932. the daughter of the late William Ause Volner and Mirtie Frances Volner.

Mrs. Anglin left this Earth to be with the Lord Sunday, January 30, 2011, after a lengthy illness.

She was a retired employee for John McKenzie and Sons Roadside Barbeque. She was a member of the Church of Christ church, having been baptized at an early age.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph E. Anglin, Sr. of Jackson; a daughter, JoAnn Brown, and husband, David of Spring, Texas; a daughter, Pam Neal and husband, Tom of Milan,; a son, Eugene Anglin of Jackson; a daughter, Lynn Harvey and husband, Garry, of Jackson; a daughter, Beth Haltom and husband, David of Jackson; a daughter, Pat Bratcher and husband, Randy of St. Peters, Missouri; a son, Brian Anglin and wife, Rene of Medina; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mildred Volner and a host of special nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Anglin was preceded in death by her parents, William Ause and Mirtie Frances Volner; sister, Annie Holder; brother, Gene Volner and nephew, Richard Volner

The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 4 til 7 p.m. at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home.

Mrs. Anglin was a lover of all creatures and therefore, the family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be directed to the Jackson Humane Society.
