Ruby Lett Grant

Ruby Lett Grant 86 year old daughter of Marvin and Jerome Lett passed away January 20 2004 at Douglas Nursing Home in Milan TN. She was a lifelong resident of Bradford and Rutherford. She attended Bradford schools and graduated in 1936 as Valedictorian. She worked as Assistant Nurse for Dr. Spanos and upon his leaving worked for Dr. T. K. Campbell until her retirement. She was a lifelong member of Griffin Chapel Methodist Church and taught Sunday School for the Women's Class. She leaves behind one daughter Marilyn Capps and husband Gerald with whom she lived for 13 years; one stepson Gary rant and wife Billy Ruth of Rutherford TN; two step-daughters Shirley Penn and husband Billy of Cordova and Martha Davis of Murfreesboro TN; several step grandchildren step great grandchildren nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Brown Grant; sister Louise Rymer and brothers F.G. 'Bud' Lett Cecil Lett Benon Lett and Howard Lett. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Hunt Funeral Home with Bro. George Epperson officiating. Burial will follow in Bradford Cemetery. Pallbearers to serve will be Ralph Roberson Billy Penn Danny Gearin Joey Estes and Wayne Jones. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Grant and Harlon Lett. Hunt Funeral Home 731-742-2261
