Wanda Bratcher Obituary

Funeral services for Wanda "Jane" Bratcher will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 19 2004 at Forest Heights United Methodist Church with Dr. Susan Sharpe officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Bratcher died Sunday October 17 2004 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Jane was born on November 14 1946 in Dyersburg TN. She was the daughter of Jim and Odis Ward Deck. She graduated from Dyersburg High School and Union University. Jane was a faithful member of Forest Heights United Methodist Church dedicated Sunday school teacher loving wife and compassionate mother. Mrs. Bratcher battled cancer for 9 years. She was always more worried about everyone else above herself. Through all of the chemotherapy she never missed a church service or one day of work. Mrs. Bratcher my mother had a great role model in Jesus Christ. She knew him on first name basis. Her husband Frank Bratcher of Jackson TN son Dave Bratcher and fiance Julie Ruff of Jackson TN survive her. Pallbearers will be Bill Taylor Anne Taylor Paul Finney Pam Finney Nelson Piercy Judy Gammon Al Deck and Helen New. Honorary pall bearers will be the Gideons Gideons Auxiliary and the Wesley Sunday School Class of Forest Heights United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday October 19 2004 at Forest Heights United Methodist Church in Wyatt Hall from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. The family requests memorials be made to Forest Heights United Methodist Church designated to "HOPE CHURCH".
