Box 905 Marianna, Fl 32447 850-482-2233 Carl Ellis Liggans Mr. Carl Ellis Liggans, 69, suddenly and unexpectedly departed this life early Saturday morning, October 12, 2013. He was born May 16, 1944 in Claiborne County, MS to Charles and Bernice Liggans, who preceded him in death. He received his early training in the Claiborne County Public School System, where he completed his studies at Addison High School. He relocated to Tallahassee, FL and continued his education at Florida A&M University, majoring in retail management. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, October 18, 2013 at 11:00 (EST) at Strong and Jones Funeral Home Chapel, 551 West Carolina Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301. Interment will follow in the Southside Cemetery, Tallahassee, FL. The repast will be held at Jake Gaither's Center, 801 Bragg Drive, Tallahassee, FL. Viewing and visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 17th, 1-6p.m. and Friday, October 18th, 9a.m. until funeral time at 11a.m. The precious memory of Mr. Liggans will be forever cherished by his loving and devoted family: his wife of 13 years, Marinda Liggans of Tallahassee, FL; three daughters, Ronica Liggans Walker (Ronald) of Tallahassee, FL, Regena Roulhac Herring (Wayne) and Torron Roulhac Gibson both of Marianna, FL; one brother, Charles Liggans (Doris) of Tallahassee, FL; one sister, Amanda Liggans Hardin (James) of Pine Bluff, AR; six grandchildren, Rhonda Walker-Jones (Booker) of Orlando, FL, Anthony Walker, Lillie Walker both of Tallahassee, FL, Maurice Herring (Danicca) of West Palm Beach, FL, Brian Rhynes and Brandon Gibson both of Marianna, FL; six great grandchildren, Booker Jones, Brayden Jones both of Orlando, FL, Markwan Gordan, Destiny Herring, Maurice D. Herring all of West Palm Beach, FL and Bailee Gibson of Ruston, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
