Anna Cronk Obituary

Anna Cronk, 67

Anna Mary Guckien Cronk, 67, of 204 Park Row, Flora, died Sat-Jan 14, 2012 at 2pm at her home. She had battled ovarian cancer for the past 18 months. She was born Apr 8, 1944 in Logansport, IN, to the late Hayes & Rosella Roskuski Guckien. Her marriage was to H. Stanley Cronk, at St. Joseph Catholic Church-Delphi, on June 18, 1966, and he survives. She was a 1962 graduate of Carroll High School, and attended Purdue University-West Lafayette. Her great joy was being able to tutor many children at Carroll Consolidated High School for the past 17 years, and she was also a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church-Delphi, and a member of the church altar & rosary society. She was active with Psi Iota Xi Sorority, and very involved with her community, and local activities in Flora. She loved Notre Dame Football, and going to her grandchildren's school functions and sporting events.  Ann was first and foremost a loving wife, mother, & grandmother. Living by the statement, "I Tried". Ann will always be a presence in her family's life, and will be lovingly missed by not only her family, but her many friends. May God give her soul the rest that it so richly deserves.

I never had the pleasure of having her as a teacher or tutor, however I do remember all the time you would see her in the halls at CHS, she was ALWAYS smiling and so full of joy. My thoughts and prayers go out to Stan, Nick (and family), and Gabbe (and family). Blessings to you all.

I had her as a tutor when I was in school and she was one of the nicest teachers I've ever had. She was more than just a teacher for me, she always had a listening ear and the type of person that would help you anyway she could. She loved all of her students and strived to get the best out of them. Though we have lost a loved one here on Earth.....Heaven has gained a angel. My thoughts are prayers are with the Cronk family. God Bless
